Oh herro, this is my new blog! Since it seems I've started a new point in my life, I figured I might as well try and chronicle it.

Oh dear!

I don't think I'll ever get good at this blogging business!
Sylvia tried to keep me on track, but I'm such a disappointment.

This latest round of tests went a lot better than I expected it to... for the first time ever I got an A on an accounting exam! I'll take that, thanks. The other classes are going well too, have gotten either A's or high B's, but they're neverending so who know's how it'll end up.

Speaking of things going well, J and I celebrated our one year anniversary last weekend. It was kind of an arbitrary date, but it didn't matter. We went and ate some sushi then watched OU's production of Chicago which was great! Their "Both Reached for the Gun" was amazing! I just wished their Billy Flynn held the last note longer like in the '96 (aka the best) cast.
It's so nice to be with someone you love so much and just feel completely comfortable with them all the time. It's so silly... I think about him at random times during the day and just get all full of lovey dovey feelings. This is the best relationship I've ever had... we lived together in China and now we see each other pretty much everyday... a big turn around from what I'm used to. Plus, my mama refers to him as one of her kids, and all of my friends think he's awesome, so this is definitely a love worth celebrating, in my book. Happy Anniversary to us! :]

Halloween was much more tame compared to last year in 昆明... we just watched a bit of Donnie Darko and Techno Viking at Meg & Miles' then went home where I fell asleep during some movie. Then last night J and I went to see Eagle Eye which was pretty entertaining. Not very plausible, but it was nice 'n' actiony. There's been so much wedding news abound and I think it's great. I'm glad that my friends are finding love... once I get some pictures from her, I'll post some of Jamie's wedding! I petsit her lovely Piper while she went on her honeymoon to the Dominican Republic. What a dream of a dog. She lurves to curl up with you at night and keep you warm... unlike grumbly Nelly-pants!

Purity Balls are really strange. No holding hands or kissing until marriage?? I'm watching the special over it on TLC and it is just so sad that some of these girls can't even have normal conversations with their mothers. AND! How hypocritical... some guy has 9 kids from 7 different women and feels like he's responsible enough to decide who his children should be with? The dads that they show on there are all pretty creepy, actually. Taking a vow to make sure their daughters stay virgins? Uhhhhhhhhh... I mean, I'm planning to wait until marriage but it's my own decision. These parents don't educate their kids and so if they break their vows, they have no idea about birth control. It's a shame. Can't wait for "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" to come on! hahaha
