Oh herro, this is my new blog! Since it seems I've started a new point in my life, I figured I might as well try and chronicle it.

Horray! Palatial Regalia!

(happy as this guy!)

So yesterday was fantastic. Really, really great! I worked on a couple projects in the morning, hanging out with Sir Charles Leroy III and my little Canella. I made some yummy tomato bisque and grilled cheese (haven't had that in years!) and sat down to watch the nasty hoochies on Rock of Love Charm School. So it's about 1:45 and the girls are wasted and screaming/spitting at each other and just being themselves when my phone rings. I look at the number, and there's no name attached to it. o_O could it be? I put on my professional voice and picked it up. Sure enough! It's Lucas from Tinker!!! We chat about the game and how awesome it was to smash Texas Tech and then he says it... "we'd like to give you a formal job offer... you got the position"! So that's awesome... I got the internship! After we finished talking I jumped around screaming, calling J and my parents to no avail. The doggies were going nuts too and when my mom called me back about 10 minutes later she was just as excited! I'm so glad I found out now, I really didn't want to have to wait until around Christmastime, which is when he said they would let me know... so I got to find out a month earlier than I thought I would!

So I went to my meeting, got things sit'chiated and headed back home, where a mysteeeeeeeeerious package was on my doorstep! I hadn't ordered anything in a while, so I wasn't expecting anything... it turned out to be a care package from Chesapeake! They were congratulating me on being chosen as a Chesapeake Scholar and gave me a bunch of swag and a really sweet letter... it was so nice for them to do that on top of giving me a scholarship! So then bb J got off of work and took me to our favourite place, Himalayas, to celebrate. mmm... nothin' like a big ol' plate of Indian food!

We went back to his place and I wrote a paper while he tried to be quiet then talked to my mommy some more about how excited we are then we watched the season finale of True Blood! EEE! It was exciting! It's a shame that Rene was the killer, he reminded me sooo much of Jean! It was a good episode though, next season should be cuh-razy! I ended the night putting together slides, but that's alright... when today's over it'll be thanksgiving break and I'm eat yams and empanadas then head up to Tulsa and visit with J and his family... oh, and write another paper and try and learn Chinese tongue twisters. :/ Such is life!

So! In summary, I'm going to have an amazing federal internship that is absolutely everything that I want and I am ECSTATIC about it! I'm gonna go get a wii now!

Nothing new. Sylvia makes me blog.

mmm... procrastination.

Hell hath frozen over, for Sylvia is no longer on facebook. She's definitely earning that north face jacket. :x We went on a date together last night to watch Wong Kar Wai's Fallen Angels. Hot times, but we left early... I had a roast in the oven. nom nom nom!

bb J also came back from squeezin' little boy heads in Tulsa yesterday so I went to go visit him... only I got there about 40 mins early. I sat in my car for a bit but then went over to Artvia's to lose at connect 4 a bunch of times on Art's iphone while Nelly flirted with Tyson.
This past week was pretty busy... had an interview, 2 tests and a paper but it wasn't too bad. Now I'm basically just working on group projects and getting ready for my accounting test.

Goodness, Thanksgiving is approaching! I'm not sure of the exact plans, but anytime there's a break from classes is a lovely occasion indeed. I won't get to see much of my baby as the semester draws to a close so hopefully we'll get to see each other for a bit over the break...
if not I'll just steal his keffiyeh and cry into it while stuffing my face with yams and pumpkin pie!

Anyways! I just watched Clerks which is always a good time and am watching The Baxter now. I don't know too much about it (nor do I know how good I can expect it to be) but Michael Showalter stars in it (lovelovelove!) and Michael Ian Black & David Wain's have small roles so seeing my Stella babies is enough for me.

back to polyvore-ing.

Hospital Madness

So I'm sitting in the hospital right now, just hanging out. My mom had a total hip replacement and has to stay here until Monday. J and Meg (mom's 3rd and 4th children, as she calls them) both came to visit yesterday so it was pretty good. Her surgery went well and she'll hopefully be up and around quickly.

I know I have a quick temper but MAN.. I've been getting pretty angry. I hate it when people are contrarians and boy am I around one at the moment. I'm trying to just stay calm and breathe through the anger... here's hoping it gets better. People are pretty lame. I don't think there should be a 16 yr age limit on women's gymnastics. Everyone's just finding of reasons to hate China and it's really lame. We would've never seen Nadia Comaneci's Perfect 10 if this rule was in place in '76. SO! GET OVER IT. Argentina's advancing to the quarter-finals against Brazil. AHH! I'm scared but glad we beat the Netherlands... go, babies! Oh, and getting back to the person that's pissing me off for one last moment; it's not okay to say that the Sichuan earthquake was good because "now there's less people where the pandas are". Fucking A, REALLY? Some people, man... some people.

...here's some Nadia!!

yay for weekends

This past weekend was pretty great. I've been working really hard to try and get the bathroom looking amazing (more on that one it's finished up) and was ready for a break by the end of the week. I went to J's on Friday night to watch the 奥运会 opening ceremony which was awwwwwwwesome! I love how they set it up and the 山水 painting they did was super cool. The worst part? THE ANNOUNCERS! J and I were barfing non-stop at Lauer and Costas because they're were unbelievably dumb. "DUR DUR DUR! They're doing karate! I'll bet the people at home don't get the symbolism! These drummers look intimidating!" ugh.
So the niftiness continued because 2 of J's nephews, Kyler and Cole, were getting baptized on Sunday! I went to Edmond on Saturday morning to go look for wedding dresses with Jamie but unfortunately didn't get to go because J and I needed to head out right when she got finished moving in. :[!!! I know she'll look fabulous in whatever she gets so I'm determined to go with her next time and be her own personal cheer section.
We got to Tulsa and relaxed a bit while Sharon stuffed us with some yummy shish kebab. On Sunday, we got all snazzied up and went to the baptism and then went to J's sister's house. I watched Argentina beat Australia (YESSSS!!!) and played with Kelsey's super cute new dog, Jazzy.ahhhh!!! She was so cute and friendly. LOVED her. Then J broke Cole's neck for being a bad boy ;]
kekekeke... what cuties. So that was basically the weekend. Sharon made nummy cookies and then J and I headed back.. poor lil one was mega tired from his hard new schedule. I hope he settles into it soon and has more time to rest. I went to my parents house and there was a tiny surprise... my parents got a new tv! A Sony Bravia flat panel! After Big Brother (Michelle-you're an idiot... go Dan and Memphis!) I helped my dad set it up and we watched Phelps & co kick the Frenchies' ass!!! It was so awesome to see Lezak race himself to the finish and pull ahead right at the end to beat them after they said they would "smash the Americans". BLAT!

"YEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
